March 1, 2025, marked a milestone in our journey to a brighter future for Apex! At the Apex Community Center, I launched my campaign for Apex Town Council in front of about 200 enthusiastic community members including many elected officials and organization leaders as our featured guests. 

I had the opportunity to share my personal journey of community service and outline the three key issues close to my heart: 

I am deeply grateful to everyone who attended and supported our kickoff. Your energy, presence, and belief in this vision have ignited a powerful momentum that will drive our campaign forward. A heartfelt thank you also goes out to our incredible featured guests. Your inspiring words and genuine endorsements have added a personal touch to this event and made the day even more memorable.

If elected, I will work on these three most important issues: 

Economic Vitality

• Small businesses are the heart of our town – they create jobs, drive innovation, and make our local economy vibrant. As a small business owner, I understand the challenges firsthand. To help our businesses thrive, I will:
  • Collaborate with the Town’s Economic Development Department, the Chamber of Commerce and Business Associations to offer essential resources, networking, and mentorship.
  • Advocate for government grants and financial assistance to support businesses at every stage.
• A strong Economy requires more than just small business success. I will also work with regional partners to attract quality employers to Apex, so more residents can work locally, reducing traffic congestion and lowering our carbon footprint.

Sustainable Growth

Apex is growing rapidly, and we must plan carefully to preserve the town’s character and quality of life. I am committed to:

• Planning for sustainable growth by protecting green spaces, expanding greenways, and ensuring our infrastructure keeps pace with population growth and educational needs.
• Investing in safer roads, improved sidewalks, and modern public transit while promoting renewable energy solutions.
• Providing diverse, affordable housing options for families, young professionals, and seniors in well-planned communities near public transit and local amenities.

Next Generation

Our youth are the future of Apex. To support them, I will:

• Partner with the county, town departments, and community organizations to enhance access to mental health resources and emergency services.
• Expand parks and recreation to create safe outdoor spaces, sports fields, and playgrounds that encourage active, healthy lifestyles.

Investing in our next generation today will empower our community to tackle tomorrow’s challenges with confidence and resilience.

As a first-generation immigrant, a mom, a small business owner and dedicated community volunteer with a background in engineering and finance, I bring a unique perspective and valuable experience to our community.

Each of us has a role to play in shaping Apex’s future. Your ideas, your energy, and your voice will define the path we take together.
